Your grief…
how many friends can you truly share it with?
0? 1? Maybe 2?
Here, you can talk.
You can cry.
You can sit in silence.
Or create something from your heart.
Here, all of your feelings are welcome.
1-on-1 coaching for pet loss.
It is not about us -
it is about
your story,
your feelings,
your grief...
An empty basket.
A quiet corner in the house.
A heart too full to take in what has just happened.
Perhaps you know this feeling.
Perhaps you are in the midst of it.
Or perhaps you’re simply looking for someone who truly understands how this loss has touched you.
At Regenboogpootjes, we are here for that moment.
For people who have had to say goodbye to their companion.
For the animals left behind.
For the caretakers who experience loss every day.
Here, you can feel at ease.
A place to connect.
And the space to grieve — in your own way.
Regenboogpootjes was born in an armchair.
Lex lay beside me — tired, brave, at the end of his journey.
One quiet afternoon, everything came together: the name, the logo, the mission.
It felt as if the universe gave me a gentle nudge: “Now. This is your path.”
Lex became my source of inspiration.
From the animal world, for the animal world.
His departure was the beginning of something larger —
a place where sadness can exist and love can continue to flow.
A few months later, I lost my job.
As if life was saying:
“Make room.”
And so I did.
With love.
With dedication.

Our Mission
We bring grief into the open, make it visible, and lighter to carry.
Regenboogpootjes is a gentle haven for people — and animals — grieving the loss of a pet, a beloved companion.
For those seeking support, recognition, or simply someone to walk alongside them.
Not with ready-made answers, but with gentleness, lived experience, and genuine closeness.
Our vision
We dream of a world where mourning a pet is not seen as a weakness —
but as a sign of deep connection.
A society that recognises animals grieve too — and allows them to be guided through that process.
A culture where the caregivers who tend to our animals, every single day, are given space to pause and catch their own breath.
Within five years, we aim to build a supported network of grief coaches and animal professionals.
A place of guidance, shared moments, rituals, and learning.
A place where grief can soften — and love continues to live on,
even after their last breath.
🤲 About us
At the moment, I personally guide all the programmes at Regenboogpootjes.
With love. With lived experience. With everything I know, feel, and have learned.
But I am not alone.
Lex is still here.
My animals are my mirrors.
And Kim — she is here too.
For years now.
As a sounding board.
As a gentle presence during Corazon’s accident.
As a beacon in the search for supportive therapies for Lex.
Her hands, her knowledge, and her heart have carried what I sometimes could not lift myself.
Today, Kim is also visibly part of Regenboogpootjes.
Not as an outsider, but as someone who knows this path intimately.
From her practice, Natural Health Care, she supports animals with natural therapies,
and offers peace, insight, and space to those who are searching, grieving, or full of questions.
And there is someone else.
Linda — the heart and mind behind Dogpartner.
Our lives and paths have been intertwined since 2007.
She taught me to truly listen to dogs, to really see them.
She was there when Laika took her first steps, and later also Lizzy, Corazon, Lex, Lina, and Luz.
Dogpartner is not a glossy academy.
It is a place where dogs invite you to grow.
To learn through trial and error.
To take responsibility — with gentleness and clarity.
With Linda and Dogpartner as partners, we also welcome their years of lived experience in guiding both people and dogs — in life, and in what lingers afterwards.
This is how Regenboogpootjes is steadily growing into a network of fellow coaches and partners,
each with their own voice, yet all sharing the same heartfelt passion.

Every step I take with Regenboogpootjes is rooted in this lived experience — professional, grounded, and from the heart.
Not vague, but intuitive.
Not “soft,” but gentle.
I work with rituals, places of remembrance, tangible tools, and deeply listening conversations.
I empathise. I think with you. And I stay — even in the silence.
With me, you don’t have to “move on.”
You only have to be.
From there, something new can emerge.
Respect
Your story matters. Everything is welcome:
silence,
tears,
anger,
confusion.
Your pet will also be treated with care and respect.
Authenticity
No facades. No standard procedures.
Just honesty, authenticity, and a warm presence.
Gentleness
A safe space where you can feel what needs to be felt — at your own pace.
🤍 Meet Kim
From silent strength to visible support
Some people come into your life and stay.
Not because they have to, but because it feels right.
That’s how it is with Kim.
She has been my sounding board for years.
She stood by me during Corazon’s accident.
She shared my concern for Spot.
And with Lex…
With Lex, she was indispensable.
She supported him — and me — with love and expertise:
during his recovery after surgery,
in coming to terms with his diagnosis,
and in his final weeks, when my hands felt too small.
Kim works from her practice, Natural Health Care,
where she guides and supports both people and animals in a natural way.
With gentle therapies, and with her intuition.
She looks beyond the symptom. She sees the whole picture —
the animal and the person behind it.
What do I admire most about her?
Her ability to be fully present, without judgment.
To bring calm in moments when everything feels uncertain.
To say silently: “I am here.”
Her knowledge, her heart, her loyalty — they make what we offer both gentler and stronger at the same time.
🤍 Meet Linda
Some lessons stay with you.
Not because they are loud, but because they touch you deeply.
That is what Dogpartner means to me.
In 2007, I stood there for the first time with Laika.
Later came Lizzy, Lex, Corazon, Lina… and now Luz.
So many dogs. So many stories.
And each time, we found a place where we were welcome with Linda —
not as an “owner who already knows everything,” but as a person who wants to keep learning to truly see.
Because knowing is different from seeing.
And that’s where Linda excels.
She sees.
She doesn’t just look at the dog — she looks at the person too.
At what is happening in your posture, the tension on your leash, your breathing.
She hears what your dog is saying, even before you realise it yourself.
At Dogpartner, I learned not only as a client, but also as a colleague.
I took the train-the-trainer course there and stood beside Linda during practical lessons.
And time and again, I felt: this is real.
This is not glitz or show.
It’s a place with its feet in the mud and its heart with the dogs.
Dogpartner is not a premium school with bells and whistles.
It is a place of experience.
Of honest feedback.
Of humble, social learning — with the relationship between humans and animals at its core.
And Linda… she knows what it’s like to say goodbye.
She has had to let go of three Bernese Mountain Dogs.
She knows what it’s like to lose a companion.
And you can feel that — in her gaze, in her calmness, in her way of guiding.
Linda not only helps with training, but also with connection.
And sometimes — in silence — with letting go.
That’s why, for me, she belongs at Regenboogpootjes.
My dogs are my mirrors.
They show me what I’m feeling — often before I even realise it myself.
Did you know they once helped keep watch over the Handelsbeurs in Antwerp during my night rounds?
I helped shape that entire project from A to Z — from contracts to the launch of the event programme.
And they were always by my side.
I’m someone who sinks my teeth into what matters.
And once I do, I don’t let go.
